If you call and leave a message and I don't get back to you within 24 hours, it may be because I'm in the backcountry.
Please put all requests in an email. That way I have your dates and contact details and won't miss an inquiry because I inadvertently lost a phone message. I am happy to schedule a time to answer all questions in a phone or video call.
How to Pay
Please contact me to confirm your booking and to arrange your deposit.
You can use Wise.com, Paypal, a credit card or direct deposit.
Booking & Cancellation Policy
Wild Angler gladly accepts short-notice bookings if we have an opening. But we are a specialist service dedicated to the highest quality experience. To ensure our clients have the best possible angling expedition, it helps to plan as far as possible in advance. That way we can learn more about clients’ skills, experience, and goals and scout and monitor water to match.
A 33 percent deposit is required to secure outings of two days or more; a 50 percent deposit is required for a single day. I urge deposits as early as possible to avoid disappointment. You can use www.Wise.com, Paypal, Visa or MasterCard to do this online. (www.Wise.com has the lowest transaction fees.) The remainder is due one week before the trip, but we prefer it well in advance. Cash, direct deposit via www.Wise.com, travelers’ checks or bank drafts are the preferred method to avoid a four-percent transaction fee from Paypal and the credit card companies.
You may pay it all up front, and if you do, I'm happy to give a 5% discount.
Because we’re a premier, specialist service, cancellations affect us greatly. If we commit to taking your business, we turn down other clients. If you have a personal emergency, we will make every effort to rebook your slot and refund your deposit. But if we’re unsuccessful, we can apply the deposit to another trip within the same calendar year. Cancellations within 60 days of the trip incur a 75 percent charge of the total bill. Cancellations within 30 days of trips incur a 100 percent charge. In some unique cases we may make exceptions.
New Zealand is a mountainous island nation. We have beautiful rivers and lakes because it rains and snows. The wind also blows. February and March are typically our most settled months. But there are no guarantees for weather or Life or fishing. Much as Wild Angler would like to, we can’t control the skies. No refunds will be given for unused guiding days due to bad weather or cold feet. We're committed to offering you the best options on any given day. But you need to allow flexibility in your travel plan to allow for our changeable weather. That’s fishing, folks.
For this reason travel insurance is highly recommended for those on a tight schedule. Seasoned visiting anglers know this and stay as long as possible. It's also a good idea to allow one unplanned "rain day" before or after trips in case the weather turns bad.
